Broke Another Pair of Apple Ear Buds

I am getting pretty tired of these crummy "mug-me" white earbuds apple keeps packaging with their iPods. Though I am a fan of the new perl-white-electronics fad (Ceramic PSP, XBOX 360, PS3, Nintendo Revolution, Dells new laptops,etc) and do feel somewhat cool when I use them, they just keep breaking; and keep breaking in the same way: When I'm not listening to music I either wrap up my iPod in the earbuds and stuff it in a pocket or wrap the earbuds around my neck; it's when I wrap them around my neck that I break them. What happens is I suddenly move and the earbuds swing off my neck and hit either a desk or the ground or something. Then I will continue listening to my iPod with them and will notice that one of the earbuds is a lot quieter than the other and occasionally buzzes. So today I broke another pair of earbuds and have added them to THE PILE; I now own 3 pairs of broken apple earbuds.
